A “selfie” shot busts two teenage girls. Plus thieves use a stolen backhoe to steal an ATM.
“SELFIE” HELPS COPS ARREST ROBBERS
I’m not a big fan of “selfies”, but I totally do like them if they help catch criminals! Two teenaged girls are accused of robbing a restaurant in Sweden. The girls wore ski masks and had a large kitchen knife when they demanded the restaurant’s money. The girls made out with $370, but were quickly tracked down by police dogs. Just like any teenage girls, these girls took pictures of themselves in the ski masks with the knife. Once the police found the “selfies” the girls were arrested for the robbery.
ATM STOLEN WITH A BACKHOE
If at first you don’t succeed try, try again. Thieves in Queens, NY used a stolen backhoe to steal an ATM machine. The thieves ran into problems when they could not get the ATM machine open and this isn’t the first time. New York Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said, “This is the 11th event in a pattern. Most of them are in Queens or Brooklyn North and I think two in Manhattan where they use force.”
